Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive & Spa

This was our first time at the Fiesta Americana in Puerto Vallarta and I must say the Staff were exceptional, Ricardo in Rosato the Italian Restaurant, Jovan in El Mexicano and Rafael in Chula Vista went above and beyond in service. The Housekeeping, was on time, professional and cleaned the rooms to perfection. Great Entertainment with Live Bands in the Lobby All the Restaurant Hostesses were amazing and the front desk check in was fast, professional and welcoming and the bell hops were great as well. The quality of all the food was fresh, very high end and well presented. The location cannot be beat, half way between the Marina and the Malecon. The quality of sleep in the rooms was as quiet as can be at night, with very comfortable, high quality mattresses. So why do I only give this Hotel only 4 Stars, instead of 5 Stars ? Because the Fiesta Americana is rated as a "Diamond" Hotel and the awards are even displayed at their check in counter. But to be a True Diamond Hotel, they must offer much better, higher end Alcoholic Beverages. I am sorry, but Tecarte and Pacifico, are 2 or 3 star hotel beers. A Hotel of this quality should be providing, Heiniken, Stella, Dos Equis, MoDelo and Absolute and Grey Goose and part of the All-Inclusive. My case in point is, last year I stayed at the Sheraton in Puerto Vallarta, also a "Diamond" rated hotel and all those beverages were provided at "no extra charge" and in fact any Diamond rated hotel I have visted in Mexico, has done the same. So I say to Management, it is an easy fix to do. You have such great staff and food and amenities, so to compete with the other brands in this category, hopefully you will undertake to do so. When you "Pay More", you expect more.

Our stay at Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive & Spa exceeded expectations from start to finish. The property strikes an excellent balance between relaxed luxury and authentic Mexican hospitality, making it ideal for both couples and families looking for a stress-free vacation. The location is one of the resort’s strongest advantages — only a short drive from the airport. The beachfront is clean, well maintained, and offers beautiful sunset views over Banderas Bay. Unlike many crowded resorts, the atmosphere here feels organized and calm rather than chaotic. Service throughout the resort was consistently outstanding. Staff members were attentive without being intrusive, quick to remember names and preferences, and genuinely focused on guest experience. From check-in to daily poolside service and restaurant staff, the professionalism stood out and elevated the entire stay. Food quality was noticeably above the typical all-inclusive standard. The specialty restaurants delivered well-prepared dishes with good variety, and reservations were handled efficiently. The Mexican restaurant was a highlight, offering authentic flavors and excellent presentation. Buffet options were fresh and frequently replenished, making it easy to find quality meals at any time of day. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, with excellent ocean views. Housekeeping was reliable and detail-oriented, maintaining a high standard every day. The resort itself is well designed — compact enough to navigate easily while still offering multiple pools, entertainment areas, and quiet spaces to relax. Overall, Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta delivers exceptional value for an all-inclusive resort. Strong service, quality dining, a prime beachfront location, and a polished yet welcoming atmosphere make it a destination we would confidently return to and recommend without hesitation. I cannot wait to return !

This is a very nice, compact resort that was built maybe in the 1970s but has been very well maintained. All rooms above the 2nd or 3rd floor have direct oceanfront views with balconies – gorgeous – while lower rooms have larger balconies that are good for families, some with the views blocked by trees or buildings. This is not a party resort (though access to the bars and clubs of Puerto Vallarta is easy) – more a place to chill out. There is one large pool with a shallow kiddie section, and an adult pool above the buffet building reserved for fiesta club members (those paying more for rooms on the top 3 floors). All pools are fairly shallow – not made for swimming laps. Their beach is quite good for the old Hotel Zone although, when we were there, the ocean was rough and no one was swimming. You can walk quite a ways both north and south along the beach. Food. The breakfast buffet is excellent and fiesta club members can sit on an outside terrace directly overlooking the ocean (we once saw whales swimming in front of us). Lunch is in the same buffet area (more limited choices), plus there is food in the snack bar near the pool, at the fiesta club adult pool, and at the seafood (La Cevichería) restaurant. For dinner, there are 4 restaurants – Italian (very good), Asian (very good but inside), Mexican (alright) and the new Azur restaurant for fiesta club members (very mixed reviews – we didn’t try it). There is also a café in the lobby, serving real espresso, cappuccino…, plus some fruit, pastries and cups of yogurt, and in the afternoon, soft ice cream. The wine is drinkable (better than most AI resorts) and alcohol is of good quality (idem). In the evening, a very pleasant bar located above the Cevicheria restaurant directly overlooking the ocean, serves fiesta club members somewhat higher-class alcohol and a bit of good finger food. In addition, the large lobby bar serves all clients a wide choice of drinks. Vegetarians and vegans. The resort makes a small effort to accommodate them in all restaurants. Vegetarians in search of protein will eat tons of cheese and eggs, while vegans will go without (or eat outside the resort). The Italian and Asian restaurants are best for them, although the Asian restaurant strangely does not have tofu and watch out for their Pad Thai without the meat – they use a fish-based sauce to flavor it. The Mexican restaurant has few black beans and they are cooked with lard (no veggie beans available). However, in the lunch Cevichería fish restaurant, they cooked us good veggie quesadillas, fries and provided guacamole – none of which were on the menu. Staff were invariably great: efficient (including the front desk) and fun to talk with – great workers. You should know that salaries are very low for most of these jobs and they often spend a good hour each way coming to work and going home after long days of work. Please tip generously – they deserve it. A big advantage of this resort is its location. You are 100 to 150 pesos by taxi (/uber) from the center of town (maybe a 10-minute ride) and, if you walk 200 meters to the right down the street, you can catch public buses downtown for 10 pesos (use exact change - direction “centro” or, for only the romantic zone, “tunel”). Across the street and a bit to the right is the Plaza Caracol shopping center that caters to local Mexicans, with a large grocery store (Soriana) and a good selection of booze (much cheaper than in the airport duty free). Sunscreen there costs about half the price as in the FA store. Despite the quality of the FA, I’d urge everyone to get out – walk the Malecon over to the romantic zone, have a dinner or two out, visit the art galleries, listen to music in the evening, etc.

We had an amazing stay at Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta and couldn’t be happier with our experience. We traveled as a family—my husband, our 4-year-old daughter, and me—and it was the perfect mix of relaxation and fun for all of us. The food was absolutely delicious with great variety, and every meal felt like a treat. The staff truly made the stay special—everyone was friendly, attentive, and welcoming, but a special shout-out goes to David and Jorge, the entertainment and activities directors. They were fantastic, full of energy, and made sure both kids and adults were having a great time. The spa was also wonderful—so relaxing and beautifully done, a perfect escape while still on a family vacation. Overall, this resort exceeded our expectations. It’s very family-friendly while still feeling luxurious, and we made memories we’ll cherish. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a lovely resort in a beautiful location with super clean rooms and excellent food and facilities. The staff, though, are what REALLY makes this place special. They go above and beyond to make your stay safe and comfortable. Every staff member we encountered made us feel welcome. It was our first time there but we regularly met guests who had been coming for years and I can definitely see why. We can’t wait to return!

Fiesta Americana's investments have paid off for a better guest experience. I've had the opportunity to stay at the Fiesta Americana several times over the years, and three times in the past two years or so. The earlier visits were met with ongoing construction of new guest elevators, restaurant remodels, and a new club level bar. All of those upgrades are now complete. The newly constructed and upgraded Cevicheria restaurant is 100 percent better than the original. It should be noted the food offerings remain the same, which is a good thing. Above the Cevicheria restaurant is new club level bar that is exclusive to the club level room category open from 5pm to 1am. This is another fantastic upgrade because the club level room bar was previously located on the hotel floors, which was awkward; especially during the elevator construction. Another notable upgrade is the construction of day beds at the sand line in front of the beach (use is restricted to those who purchase the club level room option). Lastly, a new snack bar with a large covered patio and nearby restrooms are also new. As a result of all of these upgrades, booking a club level room is now more justified. Everything else such as the restaurants and other bars remain the same. Excellent food as always and friendly staff. As a fan of Fiesta Americana (Groupo Posada) and related properties, there is some need to update the exterior painting, balcony railings and glass need better cleaning of bird debris, and the pools still need tile repair. Special shoutouts to the following employees who made our stay great: Andrik (New Club Level Bar) Christina (New Club Level Bar) Yulisaa (Italian Restaurant) Patricia (Italian Restaurant) Gume (Breakfast waiter) Luis (Beach server) Additional shoutouts to the two gentlemen who work at the club level pool and have worked at this Fiesta Americana property for decades. It is always a pleasure to interact with them both.

We have visited this hotel before but this the first time since they have completed construction on the Azur restaurant, new Cevecheria, and the Mond lounge. Our check in experience went ok but after receiving our wristbands two young staff members immediately came over trying to get us to purchase a timeshare….they wanted to inform us of all the hotel had to offer, timeshare purchase info, they wanted to show us around…all this despite our telling them multiple times we weren’t interested. We told them we know where everything is and we know how things work at the hotel…still they kept blathering on until I finally told them “All I want is a cold beverage and to get to my room”. We turned and walked away to the pool bar. It was an extremely irritating experience after a very long travel day. We have been very happy with the staff here during previous visits and this time was no exception(other than the initial dustup). I will list noteworthy staff in no particular order: Sonne club…Rafi and Nacho are excellent ambassadors for this hotel Azur restaurant….Victor, Jose, and Angel were all exceptional in the help they provided Cevecheria…. Felipe, Armando, Diego, and Edgar all were very friendly and we had lunch nearly every day with them Coffee shop…Patty and Madel are both fantastic and so fun each day for early morning coffee Mond lounge….Andrik and Raul and the waitress(my apologies for forgetting her name) were very friendly and went above and beyond but there was one issue, the music was frequently much too loud…. Not sure if this was due to the DJ but I have hearing issues so it was very uncomfortable for me to sit up there and it made conversation impossible for me. Rosato….sadly I can’t remember the names of each one but they were delightful and as always we made reservations for the Rosato more than anywhere else. I can say that the piano music provided by Rico Arel is fantastic and we look forward to his playing each time we come. Chula Vista breakfast… each year we look forward to seeing Margarito at the omelette station…his attitude and smile each morning are wonderful. Rosalio, Marco, and Gume are all excellent as well. Our cleaning lady each day was Reyna…. She is a wonderful lady and so very smiley. Alma at the front is always so helpful and willing to help out in any circumstance. Our stay happened to correspond with the unfortunate violence that occurred here in Puerto Vallarta on 2/22/26….My wife and I are so grateful to each and every staff member who put on a brave and often smiling face despite what were extremely trying circumstances. Their efforts are appreciated by so many people we visited with…. Posada group should be very proud of the people they have staffing this resort… thank you reading this long winded review!

Overall this is a perfect place for an anniversary spot. It was worth the money to pay the upgrade for the all-inclusive and Club access. It allowed us preferential seating in the restaurants and access to a 21 and up roof pool deck. Couple of tips make sure you tip your server at the rooftop pool deck in advance for that extra touch (although they split tips) and if you want to highlight a specific server at the end of your trip make sure you put your tip in an envelope with their name only. A word of caution as soon as you get signed in they will try to hit you up with a bit of a sales pitch to join their "Club". If you are into that kind of thing you can usually negotiate a couple of freebies for the site-seers. Maria M was especially insistent that we come to the presentation, wouldn't take no for an answer and hit us up nearly every time we passed her in the Hall. Nope! Read the room! Time and place for the hard sell...not when we are exhausted from the trip and want to rest.. The food overall was mediocre at best. Worst of the bunch was the Italian restaurant where every dish tasted like someone's best to guess of what Italian should taste like if it were in Mexico. The best of the bunch believe it or not was the Asian Cuisine well presented across a couple of cultures of Asia.... Fresh delicious and spot on flavors. The newer Seafood steakhouse restaurant opened up for club members or those with the upgraded armband the food also was quite good but they didn't give you a lot to choose from. But overall this was a great place though it could use a little updating. But the upgraded packages get you above the eighth floor And the views on the Oceanside are outstanding! I would love to come back again.
